Magdalen College Achieves Accreditation

Magdalen College is pleased to announce that it has received regional accreditation through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), formerly the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

This achievement marks the culmination of a nine-year process through affiliation, candidacy, and now full accreditation. Regional accreditation is the gold standard of accreditation for institutions of higher learning and is recognized nationally by other colleges and universities and by the U.S. government.

Dr. George Harne, president of the college, observed, “We are grateful for the close relationship we have formed with the Commission over these years. They have been true partners as we made our way through this process. It was a philosophical journey marked by institutional self-knowledge and growth. And we are also deeply grateful to all of the college’s friends, partners, and alumni who have assisted us on the way.”
