While the beautiful autumn weather of New England reached its peak, Magdalen College opened its doors to host students’ parents and families for the college’s annual Parents Weekend.
During Parents Weekend, which took place on the weekend of October 12th -13th, parents and other family and friends got a taste of life at Magdalen College. They had the opportunity to sit in on a freshmen seminar, attend Mass in the college’s Our Lady, Queen of Apostles Chapel, and hear musical performances by students.
“Parents Weekend is a great time for the parents to both experience a glimpse of what their student is studying as well as spend a weekend with their child, whom they might not have seen for a while,” said Francis Bernard, ‘22.
Parents Weekend is only one of the opportunities which Magdalen College offers for families to experience life at the college. Parents and prospective students can also attend the spring and fall open houses, as well as arrange a visit to see the campus and sit in on classes at other times.
