Magdalen College is delighted to announce two new podcast series that feature engaging conversations with faculty and friends of Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts about culture, books, teaching, and the Catholic life.

The first series is comprehensive and includes all of our recorded conversations with members of the faculty, guests, and friends, including Anthony Esolen, Peter Sampo, Mary Mumbach, and others.  The second series consists of our conversations with Anthony Esolen, the college’s writer-in-residence and member of the faculty.

We hope you will listen and join the conversation by letting us know your thoughts about the matters we discuss.  Feel free to e-mail us with comments, questions, and topics you would like us to take up in future conversations.

The podcasts are available through our website as well as six of the most popular subscription services.  To learn more about the podcasts, subscribe, and read descriptions of individual conversations, please visit us here.

The first set of eight podcasts, now available, feature
  • Peter Sampo on “Making Visible the Invisible Realities of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.”
  • Mary Mumbach on “The Urgency of Liberal Education” and “An Education for Heroism”
  • Anthony Esolen on everything from “Smelling Salts in the Thurible” to “that ‘so-and-so’ Ezra Pound.”

We hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed creating them.  Please subscribe and watch for future episodes.

Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts, where students are called to “Set out into the Deep,” wishes you and yours a blessed Christmastide.
