Transfer Students

After careful evaluation of the college’s financial challenges and a thorough review of alternatives, the Board of Trustees reluctantly has decided to close the college after graduation in May 2024. Magdalen College will teach out the remainder of the 2023-2024 academic year and has already begun to work with a variety of institutions—including other colleges, our academic accreditation agency (NECHE), and the New Hampshire Department of Education—to ensure a smooth pathway for students to complete their degrees. We understand and share the heartbreak by our students, faculty, staff, and alumni, and we will work closely with them to succeed through this transition.

NCC Welcomes Transfer StudentsMagdalen College welcomes transfer students who meet the academic requirements. In order to apply as a transfer student, please contact the admissions office at 603-456-4113 or email us at [email protected].

Transfer students must have at least one semester at another institution of higher education and complete the admissions process at Magdalen College. The Academic Dean reviews all transfer transcripts to determine whether previous courses correspond to courses offered at the college and may be substituted for them. Courses with a grade of less than C- will not be accepted for transfer. Courses which are accepted for transfer are not part of the calculation of the student’s GPA.

In addition, Magdalen College has Transfer Agreements with certain institutions, allowing for pre-arranged transfers of credit between them. Currently, Transfer Agreements exist between Magdalen and the following institutions:
