Your FAFSA may be selected for a process called verification. Students flagged for verification will be asked to provide additional documents to the Financial Aid Office in order to confirm or correct information on the FAFSA. Awards will not be finalized until the verification process is complete.
The Office of Financial Aid may determine that unusual circumstances warrant a professional judgment to modify the data on a completed FAFSA. We will review your FAFSA and ask for documentation, on a case-by-case basis, to support your request for special consideration in adjusting your FAFSA information. It is important to know that not all changes in circumstances will result in an adjustment to the student’s eligibility. Applications are reviewed after all supporting documents are received.
Students who receive financial aid are required by federal and institutional policy to be making Satisfactory Academic Progress. This policy is available on our website and in the College Catalog and outlines the minimum GPA requirements, as well as the credits attempted/earned requirements.
It is important that you understand your rights and responsibilities regarding federal loans. The Loan Programs document presents the different options available for students and parents in financing the cost of attendance at Magdalen College. It outlines the process of obtaining loans, the rates and fees associated with loans, and the responsibilities of payment after withdrawal or graduation. Please contact the Financial Aid Officewith any questions about your loan eligibility.
