At Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts, we approach our collegiate culture as a garden entrusted to us for cultivation. Through the creativity, fidelity, and good will of students, faculty, and staff, our culture is constantly growing and being renewed, each year bearing both familiar as well as new fruits in which we recognize particular instances of truth, goodness, and beauty. Inspired by the philosopher Josef Pieper, we take special delight in marking the milestones that punctuate our journey of liberal education, celebrating the major and minor feasts of our liturgical life, and enjoying the creation and renewal of culture both within and beyond our community.
