Brennan Pursell to hold book signing at Magdalen College
Posted on 9/25/2008
Author Brennan Pursell will be at Magdalen College in Warner, NH on Saturday, October 18, 2008, signing his newly released book, Benedict of Bavaria, from 3:00 pm. to 4:30 pm.
Drawing upon a host of sources that are virtually unknown outside Germany, including interviews and encounters with the people who knew Joseph Ratzinger, Benedict of Bavaria is the first book to demonstrate the authentic influence Bavarian culture had on the development of Pope Benedict's life and thought. Benedict of Bavaria has received praise as one of the most insightful biographies of Benedict XVI, highlighting a little-known personal side of Joseph Ratzinger.
Since 2001 Dr. Pursell has served as a professor of history at DeSales University, a Catholic liberal arts college in eastern Pennsylvania, where he teaches courses on European history.
Benedict of Bavaria is available on amazon.com, borders.com, circlepress.org, adoremusbooks.com, and other major bookstores.
